The curtain wall sub project belongs to the building decoration and renovation sub project, which includes three sub projects: glass curtain wall, metal curtain wall, and stone curtain wall.

Curtain wall is an independent and complete overall structural system, usually used on the outer side of the main structure, and generally wrapped on the surface of the main structure. It has a certain displacement capacity relative to the main structure and does not bear the load and action of the main structure.

It is usually composed of panels (glass, metal plates, slate, ceramic plates, etc.) and supporting structures behind them (aluminum beams, columns, steel structures, glass ribs, etc.).

The common structural forms of glass curtain walls include hidden frame, semi hidden frame, exposed frame, point type, full glass, etc.
